Juke Joint Studio

Juke Joint Studio

The studio is a collector’s item in it’s own right.  100% analog, Juke Joint Studio is an intact vintage recording studio. From the 60’s Auditronics mixing console out of the old STAX studio in Memphis, Tennessee to beautiful old RCA Ribbon microphones and rare vintage tube limiters this equipment has heard the likes of Arethea Franklin, Booker T and the MGs, Rufus Thomas, Albert King and many more.  Today, the legends are still captured, as the studio is used to create a series of unique recordings, for the European Blues Center. Recordings of artists, such as, Pinetop Perkins, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Snooky Pryor, Bob Stroger and Mel Brown, have been made not just to the highest of audio standards but also on video. International rock icons Rival Sons have also recorded here. Juke Joint Studio has established a positive position in the Norwegian market resulting in an increased number of Blues recordings.  This has stimulated the production of recordings by young Norwegian Blues artists such as Vidar Busk, Amund Maarud, Kristin Berglund, Rita Engedalen and Spoonful of Blues. The studio serves for the documentation of local, national and international Blues artists.
